Signable
An ASL learning platform built with a team, not just a repo.
Signable is a video-based ASL learning platform I led with a 4-person team. We built lesson delivery, structured practice, and progress tracking for 100+ pilot users, with a backend designed around authentication, access control, and reliable deployment.
What I Built
- A video-based ASL learning platform with lesson delivery, structured practice, and progress tracking.
- A product that supported real pilot usage while remaining manageable for a small engineering team.
Technical Architecture
- Flask backend with PostgreSQL persistence for lesson content, practice state, and user progress.
- OAuth and RBAC for authentication and role-aware platform access.
- AWS EC2 and S3 infrastructure to support deployment and media workflows.
Key Challenges
- Coordinating product direction and implementation across a four-person team.
- Designing structured learning and progress workflows that fit a video-centered educational experience.
